Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council Grants/Notice of Funding Available
The Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council (MODDC), like all DD Councils throughout the United States and territories, is mandated in federal law P.L.106-402 to engage in planning, advocacy, and capacity-building efforts contributing to persons with developmental disabilities leading more self-determined, inclusive, and productive lives in their community. The Council releases grants or Notice of Funding Available (NoFAs) several times each year. If you are interested in applying for one of these systems change opportunities, please subscribe to MODDC eNews or monitor this section and the "What's New" section of this website.
Community Alliance Summit NoFA
MODDC issued a NoFA for a project to create a one day, statewide Community Alliance Summit (CAS). Through the summit we will:
- engage diverse potential allies,
- stimulate learning from one another,
- scrutinize the intersectionality of disability and other diverse cultures, and
- explore opportunities for partnerships and collaboration in advocacy.
The development of CAS would be foundational work in building culturally and linguistically diverse allies to collaborate on systems change advocacy efforts and to inform the future work of MODDC.
This will be a three-year project and the maximum amount of funding is $30,000. The deadline to apply is 3 p.m. CST on January 18, 2022.
Do you have questions? An informational webinar will be held on December 20 to address any questions potential grantees may have regarding the project or the NoFA process. Details about the webinar can be found in the NoFA.
